Meteorologist Kristin Clark forecasts the weather on KOMO4's Weekday Morning Newscast
Predicting the weather is written in her DNA! Kristin hails from the self-proclaimed "first family of broadcast meteorology", being the only child of two TV meteorologists. Kristin grew up in a home filled with her father's weather instruments and where dinner table conversations consisted of impending fronts and storms. This unique perspective gives Kristin a continued love and appreciation for the atmospheric sciences. After all, it's in her blood!
Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University. She went on to forecast the weather for KOAA-TV in Colorado Spring, CO as well as KARE 11 & FOX 9 in Minneapolis, MN. In 2011 Kristin helped to launch a new, national weather channel, WeatherNation TV. That same year she passed a rigorous exam to receive the coveted Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation recognized by the American Meteorological Society in Boston. From there she joined a team of meteorologists at Praedictix where she produced and disseminated daily weather reports for broadcast media as well as provided severe storm briefings and real-time alerts for local companies and Fortune 500 corporations.
Kristin's passion for mountain biking brought her to Bellingham, an area known for having some of the best trail riding in Washington State. She has her BICP Ride Leader Certification and enjoys leading group rides through the WMBC JoyRiders, an all women's mountain bike club.
