Could Earl Thomas hold out?

Earl Thomas wants a new contract extension.

And it just may be that the All-Pro Seahawks' safety is willing to hold out to get one.

ESPN reports that Thomas is confident that he and the team can agree to an extension.

"I want to finish my career there," Thomas told ESPN. "I definitely don't see myself going out there not signed. But I'm going to continue to work my butt off and enjoy this process at the Pro Bowl.

"As far as my future in Seattle, I think if they want me, you know, money talks. We'll get something accomplished. Other than that, I'm just taking it one day at a time."

Thomas is in the final year of a four-year extension.

He raised more than a few eyebrows in December after the Seahawks defeated the Cowboys in Dallas.

He told the Cowboy's coach "come and get me."

Thomas, a Texas native, later explained: "I'm still in the prime of my career, I still want to be here. But when Seattle kicks me to the curb, please, the Cowboys, come get me. That's the only place I'd rather be if I get kicked to the curb."
