You can't buy stuff with this gift card

Gift your loved one the chance to make a difference.

It's a gift card that's different from all the rest. TisBest is a charity card – the money loaded onto it can only be used to donate to charity.

"The gift-giver makes a charitable donation and the gift-recipient uses that gift card to choose a non-profit that receives the money, said Erik Marks who founded the Seattle company 10 years ago. "We think it's a better gift. If you're giving the gift to someone who already has a lot of stuff, this is a way you can give them an opportunity to change the world in a way that's important to them rather than more stuff."

TisBest cards range in value from $10 to $5,000.

"We offer about 350 featured non-profits with additional information about them on our website or they can search through the IRS database of 1.5 million nonprofits and give to any of those that they want,” Mark said.

Until now, TisBest has charged a small fee to cover administrative cost. But not anymore. Now, 100 percent of the face value of the gift card goes to the chosen charity if send the card via email or print it yourself. There is a shipping and handling charge of $1.49 per card if you want to send a plastic card.
