Showers continue to spin over parts of western Washington through early Sunday. Most showers are occurring along the coastline and across southern Washington from Olympia southward, however, parts of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and along the Canadian border through Whatcom County are also in the path of shower activity wrapping around low pressure. The pattern has placed partly clear skies over central Puget Sound.

Through the night showers will continue with a slow, gradual decrease in activity. Due to the cold temperatures and low snow levels, some of these showers may be a rain/snow mix or wet snow with no accumulation.

Sunday morning lows will be in the low to mid 30s. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a few spots of drizzle or possibly a light rain shower. The day will gradually dry, it won't be shower free though, most areas will have a drier day with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 40s. Much of the shower activity on Sunday will be located in south Washington and diminish by evening.

Even though another low pressure drops down from the Gulf of Alaska, the wind pattern it creates will enhance drying and warming for western Washington. The low remains offshore and will track southward towards California. While the low is passing by Washington State, the wind will rush from the east towards the low. An east wind is notorious for drying out our airmass and helping to warm temperatures and that is what will play out Monday through Wednesday. Highs will reach into the upper 50s those days.

A weak weather disturbance will slide from B.C. into Washington Thursday creating a cloudy morning with areas of drizzle and mist. The day will remain cloudy to mostly cloudy behind the disturbance. That's good timing for Opening Day at T-Mobile Park!

The next round of chilly, rain should develop Friday evening and change to showers for Saturday, April 1st.
