SEATTLE - KOMO News partnered with Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington for the annual 'Wishes in Flight" Mileage Drive on Thursday, August 2, 2018.

Meet Izzy, a 12-year-old whose wish took her from heart surgery to Hogwarts.

Each year, nearly 80% of local wishes involve airline travel. One-third of these miles are donated during our "Wishes in Flight" Mileage Drive! Donating your airline miles to Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington is an easy way to make a difference in the lives of children with critical illnesses at no cost to you. With more than 500 kids waiting for their wishes, we will use your miles to create magical memories and give these children back a little piece of their childhood. Every mile or dollar you donate will be used for trips for families and children in need.
