Unusual car crash in Md. startles neighborhood residents

FALLSTON, Md. (WBFF) - A car accident in Fallston this weekend drew plenty of attention from local residents.

Pictures taken of the crash on Milton Avenue show a car that plowed into the back of parked cars, forcing one car into a nearly vertical position.

No injuries were reported in the accident, which was reported at 11:41 a.m. on Jan. 14, confirmed Harford County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Cristie Kahler on Monday.

"Information gathered by the deputy at the scene led us to believe that the driver of the Volkswagen suffered a medical emergency, causing him to strike the parked cars on Milton Avenue," explained Kahler. "The driver was transported to [University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health] as a precaution."

Residents in the Fallston Crossing development have spent the past several years fighting for traffic relief in their community, which is wedged between the busy intersection of Routes 1, 147 and 152 in Harford County.
