VIDEO: Suspect wearing onesie smashes wine bottles, chases employee through store, police say

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Police in Ohio said a customer chased an employee around a store after smashing two bottles of wine on the floor -- and it was caught on camera.

The Columbus Division of Police said the incident occurred Wednesday afternoon at a store in Columbus.

Police did not provide the name of the retail location.

Surveillance footage from the store shows the suspect dressed in what appears to be a ladybug outfit causing chaos.

"The suspect became irate and threatened to hit the employee with a bottle of wine," police said in a news release. "The suspect smashed two bottles of wine on the floor at the feet of the employee and then chased him around the store. The suspect threw a bottle of wine at the employee attempting to strike him and it smashed to the floor at his feet."

Police said the suspect left the scene before officers arrived.

Authorities said they are searching for the suspect.
