Arrested: Man accused of throwing hot coffee at South Carolina McDonald's worker
On Dec. 22, video surveillance captured a man throwing hot coffee on the 16-year-old girl of a Camden McDonald's after he reportedly had to wait too long to receive his large order of french fries.
The Camden Police Department said an arrest warrant was issued for Joshua Emery Noel for assault and battery second degree after they received several tips from individuals who identified Noel as the man in the surveillance video.
Noel turned himself in to police Wednesday and was given a cash surety bond of $7,500.
During an interview regarding the incident, Noel reportedly admitted to throwing the coffee at the fast food worker.
Noel was booked at the Kershaw County Detention Center.
