The Special Olympics to take place in Seattle next week, Opening Ceremony on Sunday

SEATTLE, Wash. -- Starting with the Opening Ceremony on Sunday morning at Husky Stadium, the Special Olympics 2018 USA Games will be hosted in Seattle next week with more than 4,000 participants competing from 52 state programs.

Taye Diggs, an American actor, is set to MC the Opening Ceremony on Sunday with performances from Allen Stone, Charlie Puth, Marshmello and many more. Diggs and Beth Knox, the President and CEO of the Special Olympics USA Games sat down with KOMO's Tom Hutyler to explain the preparations that go into an event this size and what the games represent on a larger scale.
