SEATTLE -- A new report from the Washington State Attorney General’s office shows that nearly three million people in this state had their personal information compromised in a data breach in the past year. That's a dramatic increase from a similar report a year ago. The report raises serious questions about the security of the data we all give to the companies that we do business with.

On the KOMO Midday News (weekdays 1-3pm), AG Bob Ferguson talked about the report and his plans to ask the state legislature to do something to deal with this growing problem.
