Walgreens employee fatally shoots man after dispute at photo counter
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Tulsa police say an employee fatally shot a man at an Oklahoma Walgreens after an altercation that began at the photo counter.
Officers responded to the shooting Wednesday afternoon to find 52-year-old William Hurley dead from gunshot wounds.
After reviewing surveillance videos and speaking to witnesses, officers discovered Hurley had gotten into a loud fight with employees over photos. He pulled a gun and jumped over the counter, taking the pictures from the clerks.
Store employees called 911 and Hurley returned from behind the counter.
The 28-year-old clerk, who had a concealed carry license and was armed, pulled out his own gun and shot Hurley.
Tulsa Police say it appears that two of the employee's gunshots also hit two other customers who were behind Hurley. Those customers are expected to be okay.
The clerk has not been arrested at this time.
