Trump clears himself of collusion in tweet; Senate hasn't released report
WASHINGTON (SBG) -- President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Sunday morning, clearing himself of collusion, based on a CBS News interview with U.S. Senator Richard Burr, R-N.C..
"They have found no collusion between Trump and Russia," Trump tweeted in all-caps. He attributed the information to Burr in the tweet.
In Burr's CBS interview, he stated that the Senate Intelligence Committee has "has found no collusion to this date."
Burr said the investigation has gone on longer than anyone had predicted, however it's not over so there isn't a definitive "no collusion" proclamation from the Senate Intelligence Committee yet.
"What I'm telling you is that I'm going to present, as best we can, the facts to you and to the American people. And you'll have to draw your own conclusion as to whether you think that, by whatever definition, that's collusion," he told CBS News.
