Washington State Patrol conducted another Net Nanny Operation that lead to the arrest of 22 people, according to WSP press release.

"Twenty-two dangerous sexual predators who targeted children in Thurston County were removed from the streets, thanks to a multi-day operation run by the Washington State Patrol (WSP) and several partner agencies," the press release says.

Those arrested include one 17-year-old from Olympia and three from Joint Base Lewis McChord.

This is the 15th operation WSP has conducted since August 2015.

The operation lasted from Feb. 15 to Feb. 20. Undercover law enforcement officers used various websites online and phone applications to communicate with people interested in having sex with children, according to the press release.

"The would-be perpetrators who were arrested over the five day operation traveled to meet with the undercover detectives posing as underage girls and boys with the intent to engage in sexual activity with children as young as six years old," according to the press release.

The operation was a collaborative effort between 70 officers from many different agencies.
