CHEHALIS, Wash. - A woman's remains found earlier this month along a rural road outside Chehalis in Lewis County have been identified.

The Lewis County Coroner's Office said Wednesday it has determined that the remains belong to Trina L. Landry, 44, of Centralia.

The woman's remains were found Feb. 3 near the 1900 block of Centralia Alpha Road, about 10 miles east of Chehalis, by a passerby who was out looking for recyclable trash. The passerby called 911 and detectives responded. An investigation was then launched.

Landry's remains are now with the King County Medical Examiner's Office undergoing further examination to determine her cause of death.

Landry was earlier identified in a Centralia police blotter report as a transient who was suspected of minor misdemeanor violations.

Law enforcement officials earlier urged anyone with information that could help in the investigation to contact the Lewis County Sheriff's Office at (360) 748-9286, or Lewis County Communications at (360) 740-1105.
