Washington State Ferries announced plans for its first-ever hybrid-electric ferry to begin service in 2025.

WSF said in a tweet the Olympic-class vessel will be named "Wishkah" and sports a similar design to Suquamish. The name was chosen by the Washington State Transportation Commission out of six finalists.

The new vessel is slated to begin service in 2025.
