SEATTLE -- Crews responded early Saturday morning after a box-style truck drove through a yard and hit a house on the 4000 block of Southwest Thistle Street in West Seattle.

Crews reportedly responded to the incident about 2 a.m. Saturday in the Fauntleroy neighborhood, according to Seattle Fire.

The 23-year-old man driving the truck was reportedly trapped inside and had to be cut out of the vehicle using "Jaws of Life".

According to Seattle Fire, the man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and is stable. He was the only injured person.

Witnesses at the scene told KOMO News that the vehicle was some type of delivery truck. Witnesses said the truck was driving westbound on Thistle Street when the driver drifted into oncoming traffic. The witnesses said they believe the driver may have fallen asleep.

According to witnesses, the driver drove through a lawn, an alley and hit head on into the corner of the home at 4011 on Thistle Street.

Residents of the damaged home said no one was home at the time of the crash and that they will not be staying in the home tonight. The homeowner said the roof and fence post were inches from the driver after the crash.
