SEATTLE -- After spotting a car driving erratically Wednesday morning on northbound Interstate 5 in Seattle, a trooper used a tactic to hit the car to get it to stop, according to Trooper Rick Johnson with Washington State Patrol.

The car was reportedly driving near the Ship Canal Bridge in Seattle about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The trooper pursued the car, and when the vehicle didn't stop, the trooper used a maneuver that involved hitting the car on the Lake City Way off ramp.

The driver was reportedly taken into custody after being checked out by medics, according to Johnson.
