'That’s everything I’ve worked for:' Cause of massive Seattle warehouse fire still unknown
SEATTLE – Investigators were on scene Thursday after a massive fire torched a warehouse in the Industrial district in Seattle on Wednesday.
“That’s everything for me. Everything I’ve worked for,” said Ubaida Mufreg, who says his auto business suffered hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Mufreg, an Iraqi immigrant, moved to the United States in 2009. He said his citizenship papers were in his office.
“It’s been a hard journey but we’ll get it back, said Mufreg, who believes the fire started near his office and spread, incinerating 18 cars set to sale.
There were no injuries in the fire.
“It is highly unlikely that there is a connection between the two fires but will confirm once the investigators have collected all the information,” said a spokesperson with Seattle Fire.
