Suspected DUI driver dies after hitting barrier, sign in Lake Forest Park
LAKE FOREST PARK, Wash. -- Police and Washington State Patrol are investigating a single-car fatal crash early Wednesday morning in Lake Forest Park that killed one driver.
According to Lake Forest Park police, the male driver was traveling westbound on SR 522 around 3 a.m. and lost control before crossing over into the eastbound lanes and hitting a sign and a concrete barrier near NE 155th St.
DUI, speed and icy road conditions are all suspected factors for the crash, but none of those have been confirmed as causes.
State patrol reports the roadway has reopened following the investigation.
