Summer tourists waiting in line at the popular Starbucks Reserve Roastery Sunday were greeted by chants from workers at the picket line.

The workers are accusing the coffee giant of union busting and questioning the company's motives for the recent announcement that it's closing five Seattle-area stores.

They also claim that Starbucks corporate is not willing to bargain with them even though the location at the corner of E Pike St and Minor Ave recently unionized.

So on Sunday, the workers held a picket line in an effort to get the company to meet them at the bargaining table.

The employees laid out their list of demands for Starbucks which includes higher wages to meet inflation and better working conditions.

They're claiming this popular location is understaffed, yet welcomes tour buses and also offers alcoholic drinks and a bakery.

KOMO News reached out to Starbucks for a response to the protest and workers' claims that they're not being offered a seat at the bargaining table, however they have not yet responded.
