Power restored after car hits transmission pole on Steilacoom Blvd in Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, Wash. -- Power was out and the road was closed Friday afternoon near the 4500 block of Steilacoom Boulevard after a car hit a transmission pole, according to West Pierce Fire.

Power was also out in the Parkland area because of the crash. All power has now been restored, according to Tacoma Public Utilities.

A westbound lane of Steilacoom Boulevard reopened about 3:15 p.m. Friday. Lakewood police say they are hoping to get one eastbound lane open in the next hour.

There were minor injuries reported from the incident.
