TACOMA, Wash. - A man involved in a car crash Saturday morning attempted to grab a responding officer's gun, Loretta Cool, spokeswoman for the Tacoma Police Department, said.
The man was a passenger in a car that crashed at around 11:30 p.m. at East Portland Avenue and East 29th Street.
When a responding officer asked the man's identity, he refused to give it and made a grab for the Puyallup tribal police officer's gun, Cool said.
Tacoma police arrived on scene shortly after and arrested the man.
The man was booked before his identity could be determined, Cool said.
