SEATTLE -- Police chased down and arrested two robbery suspects on Seattle's Capitol Hill early Tuesday morning. One man was carrying drugs and a gun, police said.
Officers Jamison Maehler and Christopher Couet were on foot near Broadway and East Howell Street just before 5 a.m. when they heard a man shouting for police. The man told them the suspects had offered him drugs, then tried to rob him at gunpoint.
He pointed to the suspects, 20 and 22 years old, who ran. Police say the 20 year-old, a convicted felon who can't have guns, had a pistol in his backpack as well as heroin, cocaine, pills and marijuana.
There was a second report that the suspects had robbed another man earlier.
The two men were booked into jail.
