MUKILTEO, Wash. - Sunday marks one year since a gunman shot and killed three teens at a house party in Mukilteo.

Jordan Ebner, Anna Bui and Jacob Long were gunned down in Mukilteo's Chennault Beach neighborhood July 30, 2016.

About 15 to 20 people were partying at the home at the time of the shooting, police said. All three teens graduated from Kamiak High School in 2015.

Friends tell KOMO News that the teens were smart and had big plans. Anna wanted to become a nurse and Jake was supposed to start at Washington State University last year.

Police say the gunman fled the scene after the shooting but was arrested about two hours later. He was later identified in jail booking documents as Allen Christopher Ivanov, 19.

City officials plan to host a community picnic Sunday afternoon to commemorate the three teens that were killed.

The event is open to anyone who would like to attend and will be held at Lighthouse Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Attendees are asked to bring their own picnic basket.
