KENT, Wash. — Kent police are searching for the driver of a vehicle who they said is accused of hitting and killing a pedestrian in Kent Tuesday night.
A Kent police officer was patrolling the 22800 block of Central Avenue North just before 10 p.m. when he saw two people standing in the roadway. The officer pulled over and found that a man was laying in the road with life-threatening injuries.
The officer attempted life-saving measures however the man died of his injuries.
Witnesses told police that they heard a vehicle hit the man and saw a driver leave the scene without stopping.
