Woman killed in hit-and-run crash in Kent
KENT, Wash. -- A woman was killed when she was struck by a car that was merging onto SR-167 Tuesday morning.
Troopers say it happened around 5:15 a.m. on the onramp to SR-167 from 84th Ave. South. The driver did not stop and troopers are still investigating for any leads to track the driver down.
Troopers said there were no witnesses to the crash.
"This is a Felony Hit and Run Fatality," Trooper Rick Johnson tweeted. "Ramp will be closed for an extended period of time."
There is a crosswalk in the area, but it is unclear whether the woman was using it.
No information has been released about the victim's identity.
