UPDATE: Amber Alert helps locate missing 10-year-old and suspect in Washington

    Nampa Police say the Amber Alert sent out Wednesday afternoon helped find the child and the suspect in Cheney, Wash.

    A tip called into the Cheney Police Department led police to locate them. The child was found to be safe.

    Nampa Police say that a person saw the car while eating at a restaurant at time alert was issued in Washington. The sighting came in within an hour of the alert.

    This is still an ongoing investigation.

    Nampa Police Department issued an Amber Alert Wednesday afternoon for a missing and possibly endangered 10-year-old female Nampa resident.

    Oregon State Police also issued the Amber Alert Wednesday.

    The vehicle police are searching for has the Idaho licence plates of 1A909DF. They are looking for a 2018 Silver Nissan Sentra, possibly in the Hermiston, Oregon area where she was last seen.

    Alissa is a white female, 4’10”, 80 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes and unknown clothing. Brooke is a white female, 5’4”, 125 pounds, brown hair, hazel eyes and unknown clothing.

    The child was seen at a Nampa hotel with her mom, 41-year-old Brooke A. Helmandollar, Tuesday afternoon. It is believed that they left the area either last night or this morning. They are possibly headed to the Portland, Oregon area. It is believed that the girl may be in danger due to Brooke’s recent threatening behavior towards her.
