MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. - One woman in her 50s died an early morning mobile home fire Monday in Mountlake Terrace, emergency officials said.

Firefighters and medics responded to the scene, in the 5500 block of 242nd Street SW, at 3:28 a.m. Monday after receiving initial reports of a fence on fire.

When they arrived on scene, however, crews discovered a mobile home was ablaze.

The woman was pulled from the burning residence. Medics performed CPR but she died at the scene, said Leslie Hynes of the Snohomish County Fire District.

A cat also died in the blaze.
