Prosecutors filed first-degree murder charges Wednesday for a suspect accused of killing a teenager in a fatal June 20 shooting at the "Capitol Hill Occupied Protest."

Marcel Levon Long faces murder charges with a firearm enhancement for the death of Lorenzo Anderson, 19, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

Prosecutors approved a warrant for $2 million for Long, who investigators believe immediately fled Washington state following the deadly shooting at what was known as "CHOP."

Authorities said Long was caught on video chasing Anderson through "CHOP" with a gun as the teenager fled. Despite being pulled aside by others authorities said Long continued the chase until he fatally wounded Anderson multiple times.

Detectives identified Long as the suspect in the shooting the next day, but have been unable to find him.

Authorities said the charges against Long is a separate incident from the June 20 non-fatal shooting.

Detectives are also investigating a second fatal CHOP shooting June 29, which killed a 16-year-old boy and injured a 14-year-old boy.

"CHOP," which was formed June 8 in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, was cleared by police July 1.
