Massive search continues in Lindsey Baum case near Ellensburg
KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. -- Multiple agencies are once again undertaking a massive search this weekend in connection with the murder of Lindsey Baum.
The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office is overseeing the search in the area about 20 miles west of Ellensburg.
About 240 volunteers and law enforcement officers are helping in the search, which is covering about two square miles.
Hunters found Baum's remains in the area last September, but it wasn't until recently that the FBI identified them. Investigators say they only just started searching the area because it was snowed over all winter.
She disappeared in June 2009 when she was 10-years-old.
