LAKE STEVENS, Wash. - The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man's body was found along a road in Lake Stevens Tuesday afternoon.

Detectives said a passerby discovered the body around 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of 44th St. NE and 123rd Ave NE.

Investigators believe they know the identity of the deceased man, but have not released any details. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will make a positive ID and determine the cause of death.
