Police investigating after man shot in North Seattle
SEATTLE - One man is hospitalized and another in custody after a shooting in North Seattle Wednesday night, according to police.
It happened around 6:00 p.m. near 8th Ave. NE and Northgate Way in the Northgate neighborhood.
Police said a man called 911 to report he had been shot. Officers arrived quickly and found the man with gunshot wounds.
According to Seattle Fire, the man in his 30's was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in serious condition.
Officers took the shooter into custody for questioning. They said he told investigators the victim approached him and threatened him with a knife. He said that's when he shot the man several times.
Officers searched the area and located the knife and recovered the gun.
Detectives are still investigating and said the prosecutor will determine if any charges will be filed.
