SUNNYSIDE, Wash. (AP) - Police in Sunnyside are investigating the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old Roosevelt man.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports it is the town's first homicide in three years.

Police say two people were found shot around 7:30 p.m. Saturday at an apartment complex.

One of the victims, Oscar Raul Gutierrez-Mendoza, was pronounced dead at Sunnyside Community Hospital. Another victim was taken to another hospital where he was listed in critical condition Saturday.

Police declined to identify the victims. They say the shooting appears to be gang-related.
