Man hit on head with pipe, then bike stolen in Ballard
SEATTLE -- Police are looking for two women who are wanted in the assault a man and the theft of his bicycle early Wednesday morning near the Ballard library.
The 43-year-old man was walking his bike in the 5700 block of 22nd Avenue Northwest just after midnight. He went by three people who asked about his brown Kona 38-speed bike.
Another man then hit him in the head with a pipe. The bike owner responded with pepper spray, then ran to a store to call 911.
Officers arrested a 29-year-old man, and he was booked into jail. But police didn't find the two women or the bicycle,
One of the women is Hispanic. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 350 pounds. The second woman was white and was wearing pajamas.
