CARNATION, Wash. -- Fire investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a large fire at a home in Carnation late Monday night.
Multiple agencies including Eastside Fire and Rescue responded to 33400 NE 45th St. in Carnation around 11:30 p.m. where a house was fully engulfed in flames.
According to Eastside Fire, a man in his 60's was already out of the house when crews arrived, and one firefighter had to be treated for heat exhaustion while fighting the blaze. That firefighter was eventually cleared to return back to service, while the man who escaped the home was not injured.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
