Man critically injured in shooting near Rainier Beach High School

SEATTLE - Police are trying to find whoever shot a man overnight near Rainier Beach High School, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to the scene, in the 8300 block of Wabash Avenue South, at around 11 p.m. Sunday after multiple witnesses called 911 to report shots fired outside a home there, said Patrick Michaud of the Seattle police.

A 35-year-old man was found who had been shot multiple times. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. No other information about the victim was available.

After interviewing several witnesses, detectives say they believe the shooting was a result of a conflict between two people known to each other.
