16-year-old arrested in deadly overnight shooting of SeaTac man
SEATAC, Wash. - A 19-year-old man was shot in the head and killed Friday night at a home in SeaTac, and a 16-year-old suspect is under arrest, officials said.
King County sheriff's deputies responded to the scene, a residence in the 14700 block of 29th Place South, at about 9:30 p.m. after dispatchers received a 911 hang-up call. The 911 caller was reached and said that someone had been shot in the head.
When officers arrived at the home, they found a 19-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound, said Sgt. Christine Elias of the King County Sheriff's Office. Several other people were also in the home.
The firearm used in the shooting was found, and a 16-year-old suspect was arrested. He was booked into the King County Youth Services Center.
Elias said the suspect and victim knew each other. The victim was a SeaTac resident and the suspect is from the South Seattle area.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
