Mom, 3 kids hurt when struck by car in Shoreline
SHORELINE, Wash. -- A mother and her three children were injured when they were struck by a car in Shoreline Wednesday afternoon.
Medics were called to the scene at 196th and Forest Park Drive NE just before 2 p.m. for the report of a crash between a 40-year-old female driver and the family.
Shoreline Fire officials said the mother was pushing a stroller at the time, and that she and her kids, all under age 10, were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with what were described as "non life-threatening injuries."
Sgt. Christine Elias with the King Co Sheriff's Office says one child suffered a possible broken leg and an infant was among the injured.
There is no word yet what led up to the crash. The road is expected to be closed for much of the afternoon for the investigation.
Updates to follow soon.
