SNQUALMIE PASS, Wash. -- Interstate 90 has reopened at Snoqualmie Pass after several spinouts closed it.

Eastbound U.S. 2 over Stevens Pass closed later Friday afternoon but has since reopened.

Heavy snow continued to pound the passes, making driving difficult.

Interstate 90 was closed between Denny Creek and Easton.

It's snowing at Snoqualmie Pass, and chains are required.

Troubles were also popping up elsewhere. Eastbound U.S. Route 2 over Stevens Pass was closed Friday afternoon because of spinouts. But those incidents were cleared, and the highway was opened about 4 p.m.

Even before the closure, it was a tough travel day with winter driving conditions.
