Gunfire in West Seattle leaves car with multiple bullet holes

    SEATTLE -- Gunfire erupted in West Seattle Thursday night, but luckily no one was injured.

    The shooting happened sometime around 9 p.m. along California Ave. SW near SW Edmunds Street, according to Seattle Police.

    A Toyota Camry was found at the scene with at least four bullet holes on the driver's side of the car. A gun was recovered at the scene.

    A search helicopter, police dogs, and officers combed the area for the gunman but so far have come up empty.

    There is no reported motive for the shooting, though the department's gang unit was part of the investigation team.
