Fire destroys home in Spanaway

SPANAWAY, Wash. -- A fire has destroyed a home in Spanaway.

Firefighters were called to the 24400 block of 30th Ave. Ct. just before 1 p.m. for reports of flames coming from the home.

When firefighters arrived, the house was fully involved and firefighters had to fight the fire from the outside, according to Capt. Daririn Shaw with Central Pierce Fire & Rescue.

The fire was put out a short time later and no one was hurt.
