Fire damages several apartments on Beacon Hill

SEATTLE - Investigators believe a fire at complex in Seattle's Beacon Hill neighborhood Tuesday afternoon was intentionally set.

Firefighters were dispatched about 2:40 p.m. to the building at 3601 14th Avenue S. near South Spokane Street.

When they arrived, the saw flames coming from several apartments.

Investigators said the fire started in the kitchen of a unit on the second floor.

Residents were evacuated. There were no injuries but several units were damaged.

Firefighters also rescued a cat.
