EVERETT, Wash. - An Everett apartment building was hit by a drive-by shooting early Thursday for the second time in two weeks, officials said.

Deputies responded to the scene, in the 13000 block of 8th Avenue West, at about 2 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired, said Shari Ireton of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.

The deputies found evidence that at least four shots were fired into the side of an apartment building there. Shell casings also were recovered at the scene.

Ireton said a dark colored passenger car with possibly three men inside was seen fleeing after the shooting. One man was reported to have been shooting from the back seat of the car.

No injuries were reported.

Ireton said a similar drive-by shooting happened at the same apartment building on Nov. 24.

She said the drive-by incident is not believed to be related to a deadly shooting that occurred off East Gibson Road a few hours later.
