OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Drones are normally not allowed to fly over the Capitol, but were a necessary part in keeping inspectors safe on Saturday.

Crews used the unmanned aircraft to inspect the legislative building's roof for leaks.

Officials say the job is dangerous, and expensive for a person to complete, so the drone was the solution.

A contractor will use the drone video to look for water seeping into the building's mini-dome.
