Crews capture black bear in Mukilteo
MUKILTEO, Wash. -- Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife safely captured a black bear Sunday afternoon in Mukilteo.
The Mukilteo Police Department says the 120 to 150-pound bear was contained in the northeast area of Harbour Pointe Boulevard and Chennault Beach Road.
Snohomish County Sheriff's Office says a woman reported seeing the bear earlier in the day on her patio at the Bay Courts Apartments before it left toward Kamiak High School.
The bear eventually climbed a tree where it stayed for hours. Crews ended up using a tranquilizer dart on the bear so they could get it down from the tree and move it to a new home.
