VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Clark County Sheriff’s Office located a stolen dog in Vancouver Tuesday morning

According to deputies, the dog was stolen from a kennel in the back of a truck on Monday around 12:30 p.m.

The truck was parked in the parking lot at 7917 Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue. Investigators say the kennel was secured to the truck with a rope and someone cut the rope when the dog was stolen.

Surveillance video captured images of the dark-colored suspect vehicle. It appears to be a Ford SUV.

Tuesday morning, officials say they located the dog in the 9300 block of Northeast Highway 99 behind businesses.

The dog is a family pet and trained hunting dog. The owners say it's worth between $1,000 and $3,000.
