EDMONDS, Wash. – Hwy 99 was shut down from 230th Street Southwest to 234th Street Southwest Wednesday morning while firefighters worked to extinguish a chemical fire involving a truck, Edmonds Police say.
Around 11:30 a.m. firefighters with South County Fire responded to a pickup truck that had caught fire while carrying chlorine and other chemicals.
Several businesses sheltered in place. South County Fire says two patients were transported to the hospital in stable condition and a third patient was evaulated by medics but not transported.
