Car bursts into flames, blocks traffic on State Route 520

SEATTLE - Two cars burst into flames after a three car crash Monday evening near Foster Island.

All lanes on State Route 520 are open after the fire closed all lanes, Trooper Rick Johnson with Washington State Patrol said.

The crash was a minor injury collision, Johnson said.

The flames erupted just east of Montlake Boulevard. Authorities have not released any additional details about the crash and have not said if anyone was injured as a result of the flames.

Authorities are advising drivers to avoid the area if possible.
