BELLEVUE, Wash. -- A car smashed through one of the main front entrances of Factoria Mall in Bellevue Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened just before 10:30 after the driver suffered a medical event, Bellevue Police said. The car went through the glass doors at the MarketPlace entrance and made it about 20 yards inside out front of the Panera Bread entrance.
The driver was taken to a local hospital but their condition was not given. There were no reports of anyone else injured.
The crash did trigger the mall's fire alarm system to go off and the mall was evacuated.
The mall has reopened with just limited access to the Panera Bread store in the MarketPlace, Bellevue police said.
