Bremerton police search for man in hit-and-run involving several vehicles

BREMERTON, Wash. -- Police here say officers are looking for a 28-year-old man wanted in a hit-and-run incident on Tuesday in which several vehicles were hit and three people were injured.

Police said a speeding vehicle rear-ended another vehicle Tuesday on Burwell Street. The vehicle that was hit was pushed into three other vehicles.

The speeding car kept going in a lane closed by construction and ran over construction barrels.

That car hit three more vehicles and a tree at Burwell Street and Washington Avenue. The man at the wheel got out of his car and ran.

The driver left behind a female passenger who was injured and taken to a hospital. Two others were also injured in the incident.

Police have identified the driver as David Knox. Police say he has a history of violence and gun-related crimes.
